Lines and tonal variations are a hallmark of much of my work and certainly capture my attention when out shooting.  Much of my photography incorporates these elements in the man-made environment but they abound in nature as well.  I have often run...

In addition to all the fishing gear I haul to my annual fishing trip I take with my brothers each year, this year I packed my camera gear hellbent on on getting some memorable shots along the Willowemoc Creek just outside of Livingston Manor,...

I’ve had this image in my “potential post” folder for some time now.  I took this shot on our trip to Florida in April.  Along the way we stopped for the evening in an urban area on our route.  After a long drive I wanted to...

I’ve been missing my great friends and colleagues at the University of Minnesota so today I decided to post an image I took while on campus.  This shot was taken in the atrium of the Science Teaching and Student Services building on the...

Like thousands of others, we recently escaped to the Lake Superior shoreline in northern Wisconsin to enjoy the peace and beauty of the place.  We made a stop in Hurley to view Superior Falls; to witness the last plunge the waters of the Montreal...

About TIMages Gallery
This is Tim Mulcahy's photoblog. I post a lot of my photography here without focusing on any particular type or style of image. The two main criteria I apply to images included on this site are 1) that the image appeals to me and 2) that I think it will appeal to a broad spectrum of viewers. Each image post typically includes a description about the image, what it means to me, how it came to be or some anecdote about the subject matter. My blog posts can be found on the Blog tab. The long and short of Timages Gallery is that it is intended to be fun! I also post many images to my 500px account (http://www.500px.com/timagesgallery) and have a separate web portfolio for my serious fine art architectural photography work(http://www.timmulcahyphotography.com). I invite you to visit either of those sites as well. I hope that you enjoy the images and content I post here. I invite you to offer comments and responses to the images and the blog posts. To find out more about me click on the About Me tab.
